Seminar on Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar

The Services and Spiritual Achievements of a great Mystic Poet “Hazarat Baba Farid Ganj Shakar” were recounted by notable literary Scholars at a well attended Seminar held under the auspices of Pakistan Academy of letters Sindh Chapter.

“Agha Jolundi” the cultural consul of Islamic Republic of Iran at at Karachi dwelt on the spiritual affinity of the two brother countries and called for more cooperation in the field of mystic research and dissemination of information as well۔

“Mr Aslam Rahi” a noted written and urdu novelist eaougalised the role of “Baba Fareed” towards the spread of Islam in the subcontinent.

“Akram Kamboh” the Journalist writer discussed the various thought patterns concerning the muchal love of creator and his creation

Nazir Channa the Prominent Intellectual and critic Said that duality has to be done away with for achieving greater liaison toward the all compassionate almighty.

He called for the further Studies in the field of Sufism where in “Baba Sahib, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai” “Sachal Sarmast” and “Mansoor Hallaj” Played a leading role “Ashfaq Naber” a noted Punjabi writer stressed toward achieving the goals of Mysticism through love and peace while Baba Sahib was the pillar of Mystic love in this land.

“Agha Noor Muhammad Pathan” Resident Director PAL sindh Summing up the deliberations informed the audience about the role of PAL for promoting the mystic Literature by publishing number of books in Urdu and English translations of various great mystic poet including “Baba Farid”.

Elaborating his points further he presented the Sindhi mystic poetry of the Baba Farid, which the great saint has created three hundred years before “Qazi Kaadan”and “Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai” in soomra dynasty of sindh. He further said that cherished sufi Masters transformed the world through love, peach and compaction by winning the hearts of the people towards the truth subllue to them rolling the heads of people was despicable rather they were to be over the moral force of spiritualism. At the end famous sindhi "Sughars" folk artists “Haji Ali Nawaz Wagan” and “Bashir Jamali” recited Poetry of “Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai” and other sufi Saints.
